‘Exception Review Consultation – Equal Opportunity Act 1995’:

We totally oppose any alterations to Section 75, 76 and 77 of this Act. To remove these Religious Exemptions is an abuse of our human rights.

Under many UN Declarations, Conventions, Treaties and in International Law, people have the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion. Governments must have respect for the liberty of parents and, where applicable, legal guardians to ensure the religious and moral education of their children in conformity with their own convictions.

“Inquiry into the Sexualisation of children in the contemporary media environment”. The failure of the Advertising Standards Bureau and the Australian Association of National Advertisers (self regulated)in failing our children robs them of their childhood and is another form of child abuse.

The major long term effect will begin to unfold in the not too distant future bringing with it major health problems for the young.

Providing each secondary school child with a computer will lead to more abuse through students being able to access pornography, chat rooms, My Space and YouTube. Filters do not work.

Sexualtiation is encouraged through the magazines available for young children. Parents need to be more vigilant when it comes to these magazines.

Moratorium on Abortion

Posted by The Editor Mon, 04 Feb 2008 03:03:00 GMT

The Vatican has announced that it will begin a global campaign to institute a United Nations moratorium on abortion, which will begin in Latin America.

The plan was announced by Columbian Cardinal Alfonso Lopez Trujillo, President of the Pontifical Council of the Laity.

“If the Church, as well as the United Nations, is against the death penalty, this is the principle reason to remember that it is a sin to kill an unborn baby” the Cardinal stated.

Assisted Reproduction and Adoption

Posted by The Editor Fri, 27 Jan 2006 10:03:00 GMT

Submission on Assisted Reproduction and Adoption in Victoria. Our submissions were once against opposite to that of the committee and we are of the opinion that the calling of submissions on this subject was a total waste of time as the decisions were already re-determined.

Victorian Human Rights Bill

Posted by The Editor Fri, 27 Jan 2006 10:02:00 GMT

Submission on Human Rights Bill in Victoria. We opposed this Bill on the grounds that the Committee was based mainly on the Bill of Rights from the ACT, NZ, UK and Canada. Within these countries these Bills have actually taken away the human rights of many people. The document relies heavily on the ICCPR document but the committee has seen fit to update the language. The provision of life beginning at birth is a denial of the proven scientific and biological reality that life begins at conception.

RU486

Posted by The Editor Fri, 27 Jan 2006 10:01:00 GMT

Submission on Therapeutic Goods Administration (Repeal of Ministerial responsibility for approval of RU486) Bill 2005. We totally oppose the lifting of this Ministerial responsibility and strongly recommended to the Community Affairs Committee that the ‘status quo’ remain in force. RU486 is a deadly concoction of chemicals that not only kills a pre born child but can put the mother’s life in grave danger, even causing death.
